UL & CSA SPT/NISPT

 

Below please find details for the construction of our North America flat power cord wires.  The most common style used when flat wire is desired is the single insulated SPT-2 and the double insulated NISPT-2.  We are constantly developing new wires with thicker gauges and different materials so if you don't see what you are looking for here, please contact us.

 

Description:

SPT-1, SPT-2, SPT-3

  • Conductor: Stranded bare copper
  • Insulation: Color Coded PVC
  • SPT-1.2:  For TVs, radios and small light duty appliances
  • SPT-3: For heavy-duty appliances, especially for refrigerators and air conditioners

NISPT-1, NISPT-2

  • Conductor: Stranded bare copper
  • Insulation: PVC
  • Jacket: Color coded PVC
  • For TVs, radios and small light duty appliances

Characteristics:

  • Rated Temperature: 60°C or 105°C
  • Passes UL VW-1 & CSA FT2 flame test
  • Voltage Ratings
    • SPT-1, SPT-2 & NISPT-1, NISPT-2: 300 Volt
    • SPT-3: 600 Volt
